When I started my job as a freelancer, I got into alot of debts as a result of low capital and high expectations. Some call it optimism, I just call it being stupid. Anyway, I had many debts of little proportions scattered all over my friends debt books. I owed Elly 15,000, Tosh this and Pirez that!! It was dreadful! I however managed to pay the debts till I had only one left. Elly's debt. Suprisingly, when I approached Elly to discuss the issue, he told me that he didn't consider the amount a debt. He just figured he was helping me start a new career. I was dazzled at first but later when I was alone, I thought profoundly about the issue! How can someone of equal starndards as I do that? Why was he doing it? I mean, I honestly was planning to pay him back but why did he stop me? Did this deed qualify as Special? or Was he just having a good day? To this day I haven't figured out a single answer to those questions. But what I know for sure, is that Elly is among the few people in my life who I consider "Special".
After that incident I decided to be special myself! I am still in search of something special I've done so far that deserves publication :) Till then, I'll keep on writing about my "Normal" life.

Am Baaaaaaaaaaack ;)
I stopped writing a while back! For no reason at all. I wrote fancy and lovely words in my days..wrote of girls I had met and the experience thereafter..wrote articles fully dedicated to beer: How we met and fell in love..and though it's utmost pathetic, I honestly don't have a reason why I stopped writing or maybe I just can't remember one! I am still in disbelief that I am typing this, but am more in shock for I have no reason why I am writing after a long spell of silence! But, I think it serves as an advantage because in my one year of silence I have stories that I find share-worthy :).
I traveled to Tanzania early this year for some business, I spent two weeks at remote Moshi. I was staying at Moshi view hotel during my visit and the room I was in offered a perfect view of the Kilimanjaro. I had a TV and pay TV but I must admit most entertainment came from the staff of the hotel who were speaking perfect swahili! Too perfect for me to understand a single thing they spoke! I even had a phone but the catch was the phone could only call the receptionist, who.... also spoke Swahili, Tanzanian Swahili! My work in Moshi was to do a research on the community and see how the local NGO's would engage new media in publicizing the East African Cup: A Sports tournament that features Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Sudan and Rwanda. check: www.eac.org. That was what the bosses told me. But in real sense, my work was to walk around Moshi, view the night clubs, drink , talk to the ladies for 13 days and then ....maybe, do the research on the 14th :). Anything I miss I can google.
I was having a time of my life, it was beautiful just waking up... having breakfast in bed.. watching TV all day, movies, it was down right paradise! But, I got a call days after arriving that there was an on going seminar for journalists that I should attend! I was a bit "oh man" but that was cool, but then I got a seond call and was informed that one person representing Kenya in the seminar didn't have adequate accomodation and was asked to help! ..................... it was all down hill from there.......
Moses was ok, I mean no offence. But I had to live my room and settle for a single room with double beds. Plus...am not really cool with sleeping in hotel rooms with strangers. I have watched too many movies and have seen alot of "things" can happen in hotels and motels! Especially when your phone can only call the receptionist speaking Tanzanian Swahili which I can't understand! Haiya! Chill... Now I remember one of the reasons why I stopped writing, I was never good at finishing stories :D. Will work on that though. Babye :)
